Gear units and great motor units are covered by warranty for 2 years, except electric motor. Please refer to warranty certificate of electric motor producer or user guide for motor warranty. This warranty shall be valid if gear unit is mounted and operated according to the user guide and product is used within limits allowed in the catalog.

  • Warranty period shall start as of commissioning date specified in the warranty certificate and shall be valid for two years. If commissioning date exceeds invoice date more than 3 months, total period of warranty cannot be more than 27 months as of invoice date.
  • Time elapsing for maintenance, repair and replacement processes within warranty period shall be added to the warranty period. This additional warranty period shall be the time elapsing from the date when problem is addressed to the company to the date when the problem is eliminated and product is recommissioned.
  • Within warranty period, if the product breaks down or does not operate due to production or mounting faults, the product shall be repaired and maintained free of charge within the scope of SSH.
  • Within warranty period, if the product break down due to production and mounting faults and cannot be repaired, SSH department notifies “irreparableness of product” report and the product is replaced with the new one with the same properties.
  • This warranty shall not cover damages on customer’s side such as facility suspension, physical or spiritual wounds.

Body of gear units produced by PGR is made of Cast iron (Peak(GG20-22-30)) and Sfero (GGG40-50-60) materials through various casting methods. Aluminum parts are produced through aluminum injection method.

It refers to compliance of real evolvent, helical and pitch values of the gear with theoretical values specified in DIN3961. According to DIN norm, gear quality is defined from 1 to 12. 1 refers to premium, 12 refers to lowest quality.

Gears produced by PGR are evaluated to be 6. Thanks to grinding machines equipped with cutting-edge technologies, higher-quality gears can be produced.

Worm screw is made of case-hardening steel (21NiCrMo2), gear wheel is made of bronze (12SnCu) alloy.

In worm gear units, the efficiency is lower compared to other gear units since worm gear and striking gear transmit motion by sliding on each other. Therefore, it is recommended to select materials that have high strength values and lowest friction coefficient with each other.

Friction coefficient among steel/bronze materials is much less than friction coefficient among other materials. Therefore, higher efficiency is ensured.

During production process of gear units, many controls and tests are performed at each stage as follows:

  • Material spectral analysis and metallographic analysis after material is supplied,
  • Spectral analysis after casting process is completed,
  • Hardness and hardness depth measurement after heat treatment is completed,
  • Geometrical measurements in gears and bodies through 3-dimensional measuring machines,
  • Loudness measurement, gear unit output speed, motor voltage and current controls at final check

Synthetic oil is used in planet and worm gear units while mineral oil is used in helical and bevel gear units.
